Pre-Owned Robotic Instruments

In addition to Encore’s robotic instrument remanufacturing program, Encore offers access to a pre-owned robotic instrument program.

A simple collection system is set up to capture ALL used reusable robotic instruments. Some instruments may have additional uses.

The hospital gains access to a large inventory of robotic instruments that have available uses – instruments that are not at the end of their lifecycle (they have between 4 and 10 uses left).

The hospital can purchase available instruments back at a 25%+ discounted price. This can become a substantial source of savings for the hospital.*

All instruments available through the pre-owned robotic instrument program are tested and the number of available uses is verified – there is no additional risk for functional failure or patient harm.

*The hospital will not receive its own instruments back, due to the nature of the inspection process.

Robotic instruments are collected in trays that are placed in plastic bins. Facility staff will receive video and print instructions about how to collect and ship instruments.
